Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures - Our Second Report

Omnis Investments (“Omnis”) recognises the critical impacts of climate change on the future of all those in our communities, and as a business we are working to understand how we can play our part. We are pleased to disclose important additional information and share the progress we have made this year.

Climate change is becoming increasingly significant for financial markets. Investors are rightly paying closer attention to how its impact will influence investor preferences, government policy, regulation, and corporate performance—ultimately shaping long-term asset class risk and return outlooks. The Financial Stability Board’s Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) framework is a market-driven initiative developed to provide consistent guidance on climate-related financial risk disclosures.

This report is published by Omnis in compliance with the requirements set out in Chapter 2 of the Financial Conduct Authority’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) sourcebook, which requires Omnis to publish an entity-level disclosure aligned with the TCFD recommendations for the 2024 calendar year. This report outlines how Omnis incorporates climate-related considerations in managing investments on behalf of its clients, and the commitments we are making for the year ahead. As only our second entity-level report, we acknowledge there are areas that warrant further development in future TCFD disclosures.

This year, we explain in more detail our governance around how we manage climate risk, the strategy we have, the risk management framework we apply to it and, finally, where relevant, the metrics we use to measure it. This includes the progress we have made in this area over the past year, including for the first time, Omnis Investments publicly committing to a net zero by 2050 target across all financed emissions. We note the importance of this target and look forward to sharing more details of our pathway in the future.

We firmly believe that improving investment outcomes for our clients does require an ever-increasing focus on the impact of climate change.
