Bond markets faced immense pressures over the past two years due to high inflation and aggressive rises in interest rate, leading to a fall in bond prices.
As inflation eases and interest rates stabilise, the outlook for bonds has become more positive. Central banks are likely to cut interest rates at some point in 2024 and history tells us that bonds do particularly well in that environment.
