Omnis Investments appoints Janus Henderson Investors to manage Omnis US Smaller Companies fund

• The £180.3M fund will be managed by new investment team

London, 26 September 2024: Omnis Investments, part of The Openwork Partnership, today announces the appointment of Janus Henderson as manager of the Omnis US Smaller Companies Fund.

The fund will be led by Jonathan Coleman, a portfolio manager with over three decades of investment experience, supported by a dedicated team of small and mid-cap analysts. The team provide deep, specialised fundamental research on US small-mid-cap companies early in their life cycle that have the potential to grow into mid-size companies.

There will be no changes to the strategy, investment objectives, or philosophy of the fund which currently manages £180.3M. The fund will continue to seek companies with a competitive advantage and sustainable financial productivity, such as high return on capital and robust cash flow generation, while carefully considering the price paid relative to intrinsic value.

The Omnis US Smaller Companies Fund was previously managed by T Rowe Price. A change in personnel at T Rowe Price triggered a strategic review of the incumbent manager and led Omnis to this exciting new partnership with Janus Henderson.

During the selection process, Omnis Investments assessed a wide range of managers. The Omnis team has strong conviction in Janus Henderson’s process and believes they are well positioned to deliver on the fund’s objectives. The change will take effect on or after 13 November 2024.
