An interview with our bond managers

The outlook for bond markets continues to be a focus for clients and advisers. Fixed income markets have faced pressure for a few years as the economic backdrop has been harmful for the asset class. High inflation and aggressive interest rate rises took centre stage and created the perfect storm for bond markets.

Now the tide is changing, interest rate expectations are on a downwards path, inflation has or is close to reaching central bank target levels and the economic growth outlook for most regions is moribund. We decided to sit down with the investment managers of the Omnis bond fund range to speak about this environment and their outlook for bond markets over the next 12 months.
