Update from Toni Meadows, Omnis Chief Investment Officer
As of today, 8th July, I am delighted to inform you that Jupiter Asset Management has taken over management of the Omnis Income & Growth Fund. We updated you last week on this pending change and I want to take this opportunity to provide you with an overview of Jupiter Asset Management, Fund manager Ben Whitmore, and the what their stewardship means for those invested in the Fund.
Jupiter Asset Management
Jupiter was founded in 1985 with the aspiration of delivering investment performance through active fund management. More than thirty years later, their adherence to the same principle has earned them a reputation as a successful asset manager of equity portfolios, as well as fixed income, multi-asset and absolute return funds. Today they manage £44.1bn* on behalf of institutional and retail investors.
Omnis has a longstanding relationship with Jupiter, as Jupiter are the Investment Manager for the Omnis Emerging Markets Equity Fund and the Omnis European Equity Fund. Skilled active equity investment is central to Jupiter’s investment expertise. Jupiter’s equity funds offer investors the opportunity to invest in equity markets around the world through active and unconstrained management. Equity investments account for £23.4bn* of their assets under management.

Ben Whitmore joined Jupiter in 2006 and is currently Head of Strategy, Value Equities. Ben manages the Jupiter UK Special Situations Fund and the Jupiter Income Trust and co-manages the Jupiter Global Value Equity and Jupiter Global Value funds alongside Dermot Murphy. Before joining Jupiter, Ben worked at Schroders, managing both retail and institutional portfolios and around £2 billion of assets. Ben has a degree in Geography from Cambridge University.
Omnis Income & Growth Fund
The Omnis Income & Growth Fund is actively managed and is built around a mix of investment opportunities focused on delivering an attractive long-term investment return for investors, via a combination of capital growth and income. The appointment of Jupiter will result in a blend of Ben Whitmore’s Jupiter UK Special Situations and income Trust portfolios. Ben follows a contrarian, value-driven approach to investing. However, his implementation is arguably more conservative than other managers in this space. This is well-aligned to the Omnis Income & Growth strategy and objectives. Furthermore, Ben’s investment approach and return profile are clearly differentiated from those of the existing Omnis UK Equity funds. You can read more on the Fund on its dedicated page.
